John Yoo: Historic Flaws

Comments

from what I read, I can simply say that the writer of the book, John Yoo, has a very selective memory from the entire world's history. He chooses which historical facts he wants, which implies that he's simply a biased prick who needs another book to refute himself.
This is very unfortunate that he is trying to give the Neo-Cons theoretical justification for their power grab that goes against history, evidence, and internal consistency.

The Neo-Cons power grabs also extend to suppressing scientific information that does not conform with their world view. It also extends to ignoring tradition and ideas of fair play as when they decided to redraw congressional districts in Texas when they came to power instead of waiting for the turn of the decade as was tradition there. Oh, and I should not forget the recent U.S. attorney firings as they seek to make the legal system do their bidding.

The book is nothing more than something written to appease the RUSH crowd and has fuzzy logic at best. The myth that our constitution was written by people with infinite wisdom is a conservative axiom, to which they now want to amend to fit their personal agenda. More terrorist are trained at The School Of The Americas than anywhere in the world. They use terrorism, because by definition terror is the weapon of the weak, and they lack the conventional force and or any other force for that matter to engage a super power. So then why does America use terrorism?

This small faction of people have wanted to get America into the conflict in the Middle East for years now. I see their motives as selfish and their great plan as total ill fated. This has certainly put this nation into a bind in global proportion.

[this is good]
Good stuff
